If so, this Head of Information Technology opportunity to support IT strategy, architecture and transformation at a Midlands based Housing Association could be just the thing for you!

Reporting into the IT Director, you will be the primary lead for all things IT operations and strategy. Your role will be the key strategic lead and IT business partner to assess their current technology set up, and you will work with senior leadership to develop a new IT strategy and build the roadmap to enhance, improve and replace processes/systems. This role will work to define what good looks like and set the strategy across the transformation.

You will bring governance to the IT department, improve efficiency, and change the culture of IT from service led to a true commercial business partner. You will work on plans to set the scene, roadmap, and architecture for the future IT of the group.

The key focus of your role as Head of Information Technology will be to:
Manage teams across applications, solution delivery, infrastructure.
Work across technology change where you will lead teams from discovery through to implementation. A focus on innovation across applications roadmaps.
Ownership of the technology roadmap for the business. Understanding how different business systems and applications can work together to drive innovation and efficiency. Ensure that solutions teams design and deliver clear roadmaps.
Introducing key governance into the group. Getting all departments collaborating to drive changes and innovation.
Supporting as the primary lead on digital transformation. For example, overseeing the on-prem to azure cloud migration.
Contribute to design and review of systems capability strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational needs.
Deputise for the IT Director and be their natural successor.

You’ll be an excellent fit as Head of Information Technology if you have:
Experience of leading high-performing IT teams in architecture, solutions development, and applications.
Experience of IT strategy design and leading strategy delivery.
Evidence of translating business objectives into a technical vision
Leadership skills and able to manage and develop a team.
Supported transformational IT programmes and projects.

If this looks a good opportunity, then a salary of £80,000 to £90,000 is on offer, with great additional benefits. This role will be hybrid, with likely two or three days a week in one of their offices near Birmingham.

Interviews will be taking place in late May, with the IT Director looking to review applications as soon as possible.
