Location: Shotton

Hours per week: Full time, 40 hours

Salary: £26-28k (depending on experience)

Your role

You will be part of a team of transport professionals based on our customer site in Shotton, working together to ensure the smooth running of the customer contract. You will be responsible for creating UK road loads for our customer in their SAP system and ensuring that delivery plans are met and loads are optimised for payload and cost.

Key responsibilities

• loads for UK road movements to all UK delivery points, including management of urgencies
• information on planned loads to customer services and respond to any queries as they arise
• payloads by selecting best combination of goods including opportunities for multi-drops
• closely with customer and suppliers
• documentation to facilitate customer returns
• that information in the system is accurate and updated as required
• and resolve issues relating to road planning for customer services and external warehouses
• for Despatch Planning and Road Scheduling Team Leader as appropriate.

Your profile

• in a logistics role (desirable but not essential)
• with SAP (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided)
• communication and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage own workload
• numeracy skills
• knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office
• positive customer service attitude
• knowledge and awareness would be an advantage.
