Job Requirements / Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join this organisation on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will ideally have proven ITrent experience and will be proficient across all areas of the Payroll function. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. 2 days per week will be office based and 3 days working from home Duties Responsible for processing, amending, and updating the records for new starters, leavers, and existing employees using the ITrent Payroll system. Responsible for ensuring that all pay queries and errors are resolved in a timely manner. Calculation and payment of salaries, all allowances, and pay adjustments. Input of large volumes of data, including timesheets, overtime, expenses, sickness, and unpaid leave. Processing emergency payments to the employees using the online banking system. Maintenance of absence records by producing sickness letters informing employees on long-term sickness of reduction of pay and future entitlement, and provision of SSP1 forms. Processing all HMRC forms, such as new starters checklist, tax codes, and student loans changes, and producing P45s for all leavers Support the Payroll Manager with system development and testing of system upgrades Work closely with other services to ensure continuity of reporting and data transfer to payroll. Pensions Assisting the Payroll Manager with completion of all statutory pension returns. Completing and processing pension forms such as NEST, TPS and LGPS opting out and opting in forms, final pay calculations, APPs and LGS15C forms, and new starter forms. Updating members service using teacher pension portal (TR28 form). Dealing with all pension queries from employees and pension providers. Employee support Assisting employees to log in and use the online system MyView. Assisting employees with information regarding salary, overtime, allowances, taxes, and pension. Skills required Payroll experience Experience in administration of a Final Salary/CARE pension scheme and completing pension returns Knowledge of working with ITrent If you do not hear from a Consultant within 1 week of your application then unfortunately on this occasion, you have been unsuccessful
