Job Requirements / Description
The Employee Engagement and Communication Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, execution and reporting for the organization’s employee engagement and internal communications program. The incumbent will work under the direction and supervision of the Manager, Employee Engagement and Communications, and will be accountable for consulting with internal business units, forecasting and consolidating plans for employee engagement and communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Plan and execute activities including event planning and coordination and creation, editing and distribution of written and multimedia (e.g., video or graphic) content
-Provide support in developing and managing content related to all employee engagement and internal communications (e.g., Intranet website and employee communications))
-Consolidate, track, and report on employee engagement and communications program outcomes and key performance metrics including program attainment and employee engagement and satisfaction
-Support the forecasting, planning and execution of the organization’s employee engagement and communications program
-Work with internal business units and external vendors to plan and execute employee engagement and communications activities including the creation, editing and distribution of written and multimedia (e.g., video or graphic) content
-With input from leadership, coordinate attendance, scheduling and preparation for Toronto Hydro’s events and initiatives; including post event analysis
-Manage and maintain all departmental reporting associated with the employee engagement and communications program
-Monitor and track program outcomes and key performance indicators and analytics including but not limited to program attainment and employee satisfaction
-Analyze survey results, trends and makes recommendations for program improvements
-Vendor management
-Invoice and budget management


COMPETENCIES:

-Bachelor’s/ Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Human Resources or other related discipline
-One (1) to Three (3) years’ relevant experience in communications, event planning and/or logistics
-Must have class “G” license for travel to various work locations and external events
-Prior administrative or customer service experience an asset
-General knowledge of human resources practices, employee engagement, communications and/or event management
-Experience with video editing software strongly preferred (ie. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, or other video editing software)
-Experience with SharePoint (or other content management systems)
-Strong organization, project planning, and management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Strong design and content creation (photography / video / graphics) skills
-Problem solving, decision-making and collaboration skills


Toronto Hydro has introduced a Hybrid Work Arrangement. This position allows for remote work up to three days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
