The Ontario Cannabis Store provides safe, responsible access to recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older. We operate the sole legal online store for recreational cannabis in Ontario and are the provincial wholesaler of cannabis for private retail stores.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. The Senior Architect will assist with multiple project solutioning and requirements clarification. The role will work in fostering relationships with business leads in the OCS to understand the project goals and deliver on all technology requirements. The Senior Architect will draft and execute a plan to help achieve the business goals and deliver on technology requirements. As Senior Architect, you will develop OCS’s Architecture solutions across channels including, but not limited to, OCS.ca, ERP and B2B channels.

About Your Day

  • Review high-level requirements with S&T to scope project size, cost and duration
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and create solutions to solve business problems
  • Translate business requirements into application and operational designs
  • Interface with internal customers to manage expectations and resolve issues related to enterprise applications
  • Provide functional solution design in form of a design specification to support business needs
  • Document current and target states
  • Document current and desired business processes to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Develop the architectural blueprint and document the process
  • Facilitate a discussion on implementing best practices and improvements into the current and new business processes
  • Execute assigned tasks within a structured project environment
  • Implement, configure and develop components of core enterprise applications
  • Conduct a preliminary testing and evaluation of a developed solution
  • Participate in remediation of control deficiencies in Microsoft Dynamics D365
  • Provide support to the business during hyper-care period after a project go-live
  • Provide a support in resolving of production issues in enterprise applications

About You

  • Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or related areas OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Significant experience in Architecture principles, Systems Integration, and Application Development is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with implementation & support of Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Finance & Operations, CRM, or Supply Chain Management
  • 3+ years of experience as a Solution or Technical Architect
  • 2+ years of experience with implementation & support of Ecommerce applications / websites.
  • 2+ years of Power Platform experience.
  • TOGAF or other Architecture methodology is required
  • Experience building integrations for platform specific documents and master data within Microsoft Dynamics AX/365
  • Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL
  • Retail or Supply Chain knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong understanding of platform Modules within Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 (specify modules)
  • Strong knowledge of data model of main [platform] documents within Microsoft Dynamics AX/365
  • Strong understanding of day-to-day [platform] operations, month end and year end close process
  • Collaboration and negotiation skills and ability to work across multiple groups.
  • Experience in delivering large, business critical applications
  • Managing multiple deadlines and priorities

About the Job

  • This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000. This is a pay grade 8 role, with a salary range of $ 93,757.39- $ 145,670.28. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
