Monday, September 16, 2024 Human Resource Business Partner Terms: Full-time, permanent position (includes benefits and pension) Salary: Commensurate with experience ABOUT THE ROLE: Health Standards Organization (HSO) is searching for a Human Resources Business Partner within our Talent Department, reporting to the Manager, Talent. You are responsible for adapting solutions appropriately to support the operations and growth of your client groups. You will be a key contributor as we build and execute our organization-wide people strategies. Ultimately, you recognize that people are at the core of an organization’s success, and you know how to bring this to the forefront of your work. Main Responsibilities: Partner with internal business units to support the achievement of operational and people objectives. Provide advice and facilitation to leaders and employees on matters of employee relations, human resources planning, employee development, performance management, engagement, succession, employee wellbeing and employee experience. Build and utilize business knowledge to develop and improve people strategies in collaboration with business unit leaders. Collaborate with the recruiting team and other HR Business Partners to ensure that organization-wide recruitment needs and objectives are supported in a timely and effective manner. Partner directly with hiring managers when needed on recruitment efforts to establish position requirements and execute on recruitment strategies. Support the job evaluation process with leaders to provide education and advice on the development of job questionnaires and the job evaluation process. Collaborate with the Director of Talent on conducting evaluation processes. Support the administration of disability, parental or other leaves in collaboration with other HR team members. Act as a point of contact with Canada Life and employees on disability leaves. Lead or contribute to the development and implementation of our people programs to support our workplace culture and priorities in collaboration with other HR team members (e.g.: succession planning, employer awards, employee surveys, orientation, performance management, learning and development or other HR projects). Must Have Qualifications: 5+ years of HR experience, including experience in business partnering, recruitment, talent management or learning and development. University degree in a relevant discipline (or commensurate experience). Experience in achieving business impact through HR strategies. Experience building partnerships across all levels of the organization. Strong organizational, facilitation and client service skills. Research, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of HR systems. Fluency in English and French (verbal and written). Set your performance and learning objectives for the year in collaboration with your people manager. Meet regularly with your people manager to discuss your learning progression and alignment for your accountabilities. Take on assigned initiatives or projects for your role.
