Technical & Development Technician Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Basic Salary: £29,420 per annum Overtime available Reporting to: Development Section Manager Shifts: Days, Full time - (Monday to Friday) 8.30 am till 16:30 pm * 37 days Holiday including statutory bank holiday. * Company pension scheme Generations People is recruiting for an exciting opportunity, for a Technical & Development Technician to join a global manufacturing company and a very established, stable engineering team based in Mansfield. This exciting role for a Technical & Development Technician needs to be competent in working with a minimum amount of supervision, and able to self-manage their workload as well as working alongside the development team. Responsibilities for the Technical & Development Technician role: * Work towards and support the client's vision and objectives. * Responsible for manufacturing and developing new products from the early stage through to bulk production. * Help with the introduction of new items and products to the factory floor. * Working to and generating specifications and techniques. * Ability to use initiative and be creative. * Communicate with all team members through the design and development stages. Qualifications & Experience: * Technical & Development background - ideal * A Textile Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing background - advantageous * Textile weaving machinery knowledge – advantageous. * Computer literacy is necessary along with the ability to problem solve.
