Shift Quality Inspector

Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with an established manufacturer of specialised precision components for an array of industry sectors, notably Aerospace. Due to an increasing order book, our client is seeking the addition of a Quality Inspector to join their team. The shifts are split into a two-week rota, which is as follows: Week 1 – Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2:00pm to 11:30pm (Fridays off) In return, you will receive a starting hourly rate of c£79.00 per hour (potential for higher hourly rate up to £19.00 per hour for those that can demonstrable significant experience within the Aerospace sector). Overtime is plentiful and is paid at time and a half rate. Roles & Responsibilities * Perform first off and final inspections across all product range * Perform in process batch checks * Operate CMM equipment to measure fine tolerances on equipment and record findings using QCT software * Conduct calibration of micrometres when required * Perform shopfloor audits including machine safety checks * Report quality discrepancies to Quality Manager * Adger to ISO:9001/AS9001 quality standards * Produce FAIR reports and method statements Skills & Experience * Time served experience as a Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer * Previous experience in Aerospace industry preferred but not essential * Accredited in ISO:9001 and AS9001 * Confident calibration experience including micrometres, gauges an callipers * Keen eye for detail * Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings * Experience working with QCT software highly advantageous About Express Recruitment Express Recruitment has been offering exceptional recruitment solutions across the East Midlands since 1987, “exceeding expectations every time” of over 267,000 candidates.
