Fire Alarm Engineer/Designer/Surveyor

A forward-thinking and nationally renowned Security and Communications Company, accredited with NSI Gold and BAFE, is seeking to expand its Fire Team in the Midlands. Specializing in the design, installation, service, and maintenance of integrated security systems and manufacturing specialist equipment, the company prides itself on a reputation for quality, care, and reliability.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire alarm engineer looking to advance their career in the fire, security, and communications industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with design compliance, including back-office support, site surveys, and visits.
- Attend site and customer meetings to discuss fire alarm compliance and system offerings.
- Advise on non-compliance matters and issue technical bulletins.
- Assist with third-party inspection audits and documentation.
- Provide technical support to internal staff and external customers.
- Conduct site surveys and produce proposals for customers.
- Consistently provide premium service to customers.
- Adhere to Health and Safety practices at all times.
Key Experience/Qualifications:
- Ideally, 10 years’ experience at engineer level, with some supervision and customer liaison experience.
- Good IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Ideally Gent trained.
- Experience working to BAFE SP203-1 standards.
- Good working knowledge of relevant British Standards, Regulations, and Legislation.
- Team player with ambition and a willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.
Skills and Capabilities:
- Positive, self-motivated, and proactive individual with a passion for fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding workplace.
- Well-organized, self-disciplined, and able to meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.
Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Permanent)
