MEP Commercial Manager

We are working with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £500m and a strong presence delivering for tier 1 contractors who require an MEP commercial manager to join their London business unit. Reporting to a regional commercial director you will take control of a portolio of newly secured schemes with full commercial overview. About the role of a MEP Commercial Manager: As the MEP Commercial Manager, you will be expected to manage a team of MEP commercial staff, at all levels, in delivering cost management on a variety projects within the Commercial, healthcare and mission critical/data centre sectors. The role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of cost management of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership, management, governance, and excellence for all commercial activities pre and post contract, across a portfolio of projects. Responsibilities for Regional Commercial Manager • Manage a team of around 6-8 commercial staff members • Responsible for 2-3 live projects with values ranging with a combined services value of circa £60m • Actively engage with all internal and external stakeholders and ensure that the commercial function within the business unit effectively supports the other functions such as, Design, Operations and Pre-Construction as required • Drive clear strategy on commercial delivery, customer engagement and repeat business whilst managing, training, and developing the wider Commercial Teams. • Agree project profit plans and Stretch profit plans and monitor throughout the procurement and construction process
