Job Description:
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres
- Supervise and check assembly of trays
- Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
Requirements:
– Education: Completion of secondary school is required
– Experience: At least 2 years of experience in food preparation or service OR Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline or several years of experience is required.
– Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Physically demanding; Standing for extended periods; Overtime required.
– Personal Suitability: Client focus, Excellent oral communication, Flexibility, Team player, Dependability
– Language: English is required, French is a strong asset.
– Supervise: 9 people
Salary: $20.50 per hour, 54-72 hours per week.
Benefits: Meals provided.
Important Information: The position requires extended working hours and flexibility in planning; including early morning, morning, day, evening, night or weekend as required. The candidate will work 6 days a week, 9-12 hours shifts per day depending on the business’ needs.
