Responsibilities

  1. What you'll be doing:
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and troubleshooting on a variety of equipment including: gearboxes, VFDs / chain drives, conveyors, pumps, valves, actuators, small motors, simple boilers and heaters, basic pressurized piping, PLCs (Allen Bradley), automated and packaging machinery
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine predictive and preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Work as part of a team on upgrade projects, as well as address any critical repairs of automated manufacturing lines
  • Collaborate with engineers and production team members to implement continuous improvements and mechanical upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Document repairs upgrades and maintenance through the CMMS system
  • Utilize welding expertise for fabrication and repair work as needed, especially for new machinery installation
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications

  1. What you bring:
  • Valid Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright ticket
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or processing environment preferred
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing automated machinery and robotics preferred (not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Welding experience for fabrication and repair work is a definite asset
