Responsibilities
- What you'll be doing:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and troubleshooting on a variety of equipment including: gearboxes, VFDs / chain drives, conveyors, pumps, valves, actuators, small motors, simple boilers and heaters, basic pressurized piping, PLCs (Allen Bradley), automated and packaging machinery
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine predictive and preventive maintenance on machinery
- Work as part of a team on upgrade projects, as well as address any critical repairs of automated manufacturing lines
- Collaborate with engineers and production team members to implement continuous improvements and mechanical upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Document repairs upgrades and maintenance through the CMMS system
- Utilize welding expertise for fabrication and repair work as needed, especially for new machinery installation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- What you bring:
- Valid Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright ticket
- Experience working in a manufacturing or processing environment preferred
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing automated machinery and robotics preferred (not required)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Welding experience for fabrication and repair work is a definite asset
