Operations and Improvements Manager £55,000 - £60,000 per annum Ammanford I have a brand-new opportunity with a fantastic business who are a true market leader in the Food Manufacturing Industry. This is a company that operates globally and are passionate about creating better food naturally.  Due to further expansion of this state-of-the-art factory, I am recruiting for an experienced Operations and Improvements Manager. Duties & responsibilities Drive continuous improvement process and practices embracing all lean manufacturing principles. Agree with the Site Operations Manager a workable strategy cascading this to the production teams accordingly. Take accountability for ensuring that orders placed are produced in full and despatched on time to the required quality standard and customer specification whilst maintaining a controlled cost base to deliver profits. Ensure site business objectives and performed targets are met agreeing operational KPI’s to ensure that the site meets production efficiency, quality and yield targets. Ensure regular and ongoing analysis of results to identify performance shortfalls and implement remedial plans. Manage day to day controllable overheads in terms of permanent and temporary labour costs, communicating the full picture to the Site Director. Remain up to date with all food safety legislation and key technical requirements, driving total compliance throughout the factory. Develop a client and people focussed culture ensuring the site and its employees recognise and respond to customer needs and policy of improvement. Develop a leadership style that encourages engagement and empowerment with the aim of establishing a high-performance environment. Drive Health & Safety standards with the aim of actively driving best practice and proactively building a health and safety focussed culture on site. Skills, experience and qualifications required At least 3-5 years Food Manufacturing industry experience. Exposure to the understanding of foodservice/ retail customers ways of working, including some of the ‘Big 4’ UK retailers. Organisational skills to enable the management and development of multiple projects. Understanding and working knowledge of food and manufacturing process
