Job Title: Graduate Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team as a Graduate Engineering Manager. This entry-level manager role is designed to provide recently graduated students in a relevant Engineering discipline with the opportunity to build experience and grow to become future leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
- Implement and carry out network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Work with the team and the wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions.
- Learn the key aspects of all site-based RME roles.
- Manage projects or tasks as directed by the site manager.
- Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a solid connection to the team and daily work.
- Will be required to travel to other Amazon locations to support training and development.
- Work alongside Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technicians to understand day-to-day challenges faced.
- Lead small to medium-sized teams of multi-skilled Technicians; developing direct line management responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Recently graduated or working towards an Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Chemical disciplines.
- Maximum 2 years' work experience within a relevant industry.
- Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office, Computer-aided Design).
- Knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
- Knowledge of Project Management frameworks.
- Knowledge of CMMS programs.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Processes.
- Knowledge of Automated Warehousing environments.
- Team leadership experience.
