Supply Chain Manager – Cosmetics Permanent Wells, Somerset £35000 - £40000 per annum Part Time Considered Pin Point Recruitment are pleased to be assisting its client in Wells, Somerset and we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager. Job Role: To manage a small supply chain team including procurement, planning and customer service. To manage the end to end supply chain from sales order to complete production, by ensuring sales orders are processed and effectively communicated to customers, an efficient production plan is created and followed and purchase orders to suppliers are placed and delivered to meet plan and KPI’s. To follow procurement strategy to build relationships, gain competitive advantage and source new and alternative materials Responsibilities: * Comply with good manufacturing practices * Manage small team on a day to day basis, complete regular 1-1s’, bi-yearly appraisals and training records. * Create and maintain departmental SOP’s and training with necessary staff * Responsible for the day to day purchase order processing whilst considering buying decisions. * Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the purchase order in the system. * Coordinate between procurement and planning the timings for materials and orders to ensure a smooth and efficient production schedule * Process customer sales orders effectively and in a timely manner. * Provide excellent customer service with regular updates, including calls and meetings, to the customer and being point of contact regarding their sales orders, dispatch dates and discuss free issue componentry delivery dates. * Investigate purchasing invoice queries with all stakeholders and resolve in a timely manner * Monitor and update minimum stock values and reduce inventory levels to optimise cash flow and warehouse space. * Build and maintain excellent and productive working relationships with suppliers to gain competitive advantage, security of supply and excellent service * Sourcing of new and alternative materials and components for NPD via RFQ’s. Reviewing launch and forecast information v MOQ, price and lead time to ensure redundant stock is kept to a minimum. * Sourcing of alternative materials to cost save; multi source; and mitigate supply risks, following internal processes for a smooth transition. * Negotiate price increases and find optimum solutions to reduce; seek best possible payment terms from all suppliers. * Review supplier and material statistics to forge a procurement strategy with HoSC. * Provide management with updates and reports to reflect and highlight areas of positivity and concern within supply chain * Upon receipt of customer forecast, review raw materials and action as required; taking into consideration supply and business risks. * Handle supplier rejects with all stakeholders * Follow and implement GMP requirements for the supply chain area * Purchasing of Indirect consumables * Attend internal meetings as a representative of supply chain * Responsible for onsite production morning meeting. * Provide the business with a comprehensive production and manufacturing schedule which drives efficiency and reaches objectives. * Review production KPI’s and investigate matters which cause loss of money and time. Implement continuous improvements to reduce matters. * Produce internal and external analytic reports to present results against KPI’s, detect gaps or improvements required, find solutions as a team or with supplier and customer during quarterly meetings and implement. * Be a link between all departments to follow through on any outstanding issues relating to a live customer order; update production plans and communicate to customer. * Understand the client portfolio to aid buying and planning decisions and best communication method with customer. * Build strong cross functional relationships to improve efficiencies, communication and process through the business. * Full competence of using systems and using them to their full advantage to provide efficiency and improvements.
