Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer in Test, you design and implement tests, debug and define corrective actions, review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts). You work closely with the developers and product owner to find gaps in the business logic, and ensure that the software is creating value for the customer. You create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases, develop manual test cases to increase regression coverage as well as new functionality testing, and execute manual and automated test cases including ad-hoc and exploratory testing as needed. Ultimately, you monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, required
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience with BDD test design and writing test cases with Gherkin syntax
SAP and Hybris knowledge a plus
Experience with Atlassian development tools, i.e. Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)
