Do you have experience teaching construction or a strong background in the construction industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Construction Tutor at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Nottingham. About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Construction Tutor to work with students aged 12-16 in a PRU setting. This role is full-time and offers a temp-to-perm pathway for the right candidate. As a Construction Tutor, you will play a vital role in engaging and inspiring students who require alternative educational support, helping them develop valuable skills for future careers in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging construction lessons tailored to the needs of PRU students. Develop practical and theoretical learning activities that cater to different learning styles. Provide one-on-one and small group support to ensure students grasp key concepts. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners to support student development. Requirements: Experience teaching construction or a strong background in the construction industry. Prior experience working with PRU students or within an alternative education setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate young people with diverse needs and backgrounds. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively. Relevant teaching qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
