“A Player” Venue Manager

to drive the daily operations of our soon-to-open venue in the Melbourne CBD. You will lead our high-performing team to maximise sales and profitability, deliver an unforgettable customer experience and ensure our brands continue to be best in class. We focus on recruiting and retaining the very best people in our quest to provide outstanding service and products to our customers. We are seeking a like-minded individual who has a common-sense approach to management, to join our highly regarded team. Key responsibilities of this exciting, hands-on role include: Working with the General Manager to set up best practice systems and processes for our venue Managing and completing operational duties including but not limited to rostering, forecasting, inventory management and reporting Ensuring the venue operates seamlessly, providing guests with an unforgettable experience Building and maintaining strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers and other key stakeholders Ensuring the venue meets all relevant compliance and legislative requirements Driving sales to meet set targets and budgets while closely managing operational costs Onboarding, developing, and managing the team with hands-on leadership Together with being reliable, loyal, and trustworthy, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes: 5+ years of Venue Management experience Focused, driven and motivated A desire to learn and embrace the “lean” culture of the organisation A proven ability to achieve objectives and demonstrate actual results Highly developed written and verbal communication skills A positive, ‘can do’ attitude Problem solving and negotiation skills Strong values, ensuring integrity in every decision and action Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a team Understanding of numbers Critical thinking skills and a focus on solutions Time management and prioritisation skills Professional presentation If you possess these attributes and our mission and values resonate with you and you are looking to join our energetic environment where people receive recognition and reward for their hard work and commitment, then this role will provide you with a stimulating and exciting career opportunity.
