Summary
We are seeking,self-motivated, customer service focused individuals to be part of our team forthe position of Network Technician working primarily on the network withability to work with commercial and residential customers if required.
This position entailsworking indoors and outdoors, operating independently and providing qualityservice. Includes the installation, activation and repair/maintenance oftelecommunications service. Liaison with our client, installing, activating orrepairing associated telecommunications equipment such as TAP, Amplifiers, HardCable and Fibre Optics, aerial and underground service wires to facilitateconnectivity to the end user.

Responsibilities
Driveto and from network locations in a defined geographic area performing networkservices on behalf of our client.
Receiveand complete client issued work orders in a timely manner.
Operateequipment and vehicle in a safe manner, ensuring adherence to company andclients safety program.
Interactwith customers and others in a professional and courteous manner to ensure workorders are completed as requested.
Providea high level of customer service ensuring that any escalations or concerns areaddressed professionally.
Assessand test RF and Fibre Optic signal. Cut in New Equipment Network Sweep inaccordance with client set parameters Troubleshoot technical issues.
Workingin tight spaces (attics and crawl spaces) and working at heights (climbingladders).
Safeuse of basic hand tools, Radio Frequency Meters, TDR’s and Multi Meters (VoltMeters), Locators, Cordless Drills, Saws etc.
Workindoors and outdoors.
Work onPC computer and various software applications.
Requirements
Previousexperience installing and repairing CATV, Internet, Alarms and phones.
Previouswork experience in telecom installation, repair or network would be an asset.
Abilityto manage a physically demanding position which involves sitting, standing,bending, climbing, lifting, working at heights, define colours and in confinedspaces.
Able tohandle multiple computer applications, operation systems and test equipment.
Strongcommunication skills, both written and verbal.
Apositive attitude and customer focused approach.
Self-Motivated,ability to prioritize and organize work with little direction.
Maintaina valid Class G Ontario driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstractannually.
Successfulcompletion of a criminal background check.
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position.These include but are not limited to working outdoors and in confined spaces, movementof equipment and/or materials, frequent climbing of ladders, frequent liftingand pulling of telecommunication cable and Conduit lift in excess of 70 lbs.Stand for extended periods of time.
