Executive Chef - Healthcare

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, deliver hotel/restaurant standards, and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and flavoursome menus that cater to the needs of our residents.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality dishes that meet our standards.
• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and lead a team of chefs to achieve our goals.
• Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, while working within budget and managing stock control.
• Contribute to the development of a warm and welcoming environment within our home.

Requirements

• A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
• A good understanding of nutrition and the ability to create menus that cater to different dietary needs.
• Experience of working with fresh seasonal food and managing kitchen operations.
