Brand new job opportunity now available! Octagon Group is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for a global manufacturing company. This position is full time permanent and is based in the County Powys, Wales.   This role is suitable for an experienced Senior Project Manager who wants to lead critical projects in product development, driving business growth and success in a rapidly evolving industry. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing major projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from conception to delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with departments such as R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to ensure the successful execution of projects. The Senior Project Manager responsibilities: - Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of product development projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines. - Manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication to drive project success. - Utilise your experience in cradle-to-grave project management to navigate all phases of the New Product Development (NPD) process effectively. - Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure project milestones are met within scope and on time. - Implement best practices and methodologies in project management to optimise efficiency and productivity. - Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables. Qualifications and skills/experience required: - Educated to degree level, ideally in Business, STEM or related field. - Project management qualification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent). - Proven experience in managing product development projects, with a deep understanding of NPD phases and methodologies. - Demonstrated expertise in cradle-to-grave project management approaches. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams. - Experience working in a manufacturing environment is desired but not essential - Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
