Reporting to the Manager, Advisory & Support, the People Experience Associate is a trusted advisor to people leaders and employees, providing HR guidance and support on HR-related matters. The People Experience Associate is responsible for completing various employee changes within our HR system, while enabling employees to utilize self-service functionalities.

Accountabilities:

  1. Provide timely and accurate advice on general HR inquiries related to policies and processes and other general HR matters including benefits, payroll, vacation, Workday inquiries, etc.
  2. Support and train people leaders and employees with Workday navigation and processes.
  3. Manage paid and unpaid time off programs, including parental leave, supporting employees and people leaders through to return to work, offering guidance on accommodation and regular check-ins with employees as needed.
  4. Support people leaders with employee movements such as reporting line changes, promotions, transfers and manage job and data changes.
  5. Proactively identify process improvements to provide an exceptional employee experience.
  6. Maintain accurate case management process, records, case notes and document all HR-related inquiries and addressing by leveraging the appropriate information and data.
  7. Coach and enable employee needs and work towards a resolution and provide guidance on general HR matters.
  8. Guide employees in the effective use of self-service to submit inquiries, update personal data, and research HR policies and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with broader HR community in the delivery of shared initiatives as required.

Skills & Experience:

  1. 2-3 years of generalist HR knowledge on policies and processes.
  2. Completed post-secondary education, preferably in HR or Business Administration, working towards completion of HR designation an asset.
  3. Strong relationship management, effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills across all levels with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  4. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills while mitigating risk to the organization.
  5. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple initiatives and deadlines while meeting service level agreements.
  6. Adaptable and ability to work in a new and changing environment and learn quickly.
  7. Knowledge of employee data administration and end-to-end processes; experience with transaction processing and data management.
  8. Knowledge of HR systems and ability to leverage basic technology functionality (e.g., case management, knowledge management). Working knowledge of Workday an asset.
