TMX Group's Human Resources department is a high-performing team responsible for providing TMX Group and its subsidiaries with the full suite of Human Resources services they need to support and develop their people strategies that are aligned with plans to grow and evolve the business. This role will be part of the Talent and Total Rewards team. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Pension & Benefits, the Benefits Advisor will be accountable for the day to day management of Canadian and US employee benefit programs. This position will be integral to building a forward thinking global benefit strategy informed by market research, best practices and the diverse needs of TMX employees. Key Accountabilities: Lead the implementation, evaluation and administration of employee benefit programs such as health, dental, STD, LTD, life insurance, employee assistance, absences and other related programs for Canada, USA and globally to sustain a culture that attracts, engages, retains and rewards employees Coordinate the annual renewals of benefit programs including monitoring of trends, best practices, utilization and cost/benefit analysis to recommend opportunities for improvements and negotiations with vendors Own the annual open enrollment process for each global benefit plan (Canada, US and Global) Guide vendor relationships through service level agreements, usage and trend reports, conducting performance meetings, and ensuring compliance with plan provisions Support TMX's wellness strategy, including the contribution of ideas on themes and support on execution of activities while monitoring time off programs (illness, vacation, personal, etc.) Create processes and dashboards to support insight gathering Stay ahead of market trends, new products and vendors and determine if TMX could benefit from changes and make appropriate recommendations Act as the functional lead for the benefits and absence related processes within Workday and support implementation projects globally Conduct new employee orientation sessions on our benefit, pension and wellness programs,contributing to a positive onboarding employee experience. Oversees and ensures employees concerns and Service Now tickets are managed optimally, including hands-on resolution of tickets and partner concerns Work closely with members of the Total Rewards team, HR Business Partners as well as the Payroll team for any leaves that affect benefits, employee share purchase plan and pension contributions Participate in various projects/activities as needed Must haves: Post secondary education in Human Resources Minimum 5 years' experience administering Group Benefits plans with extensive experience in Canada & USA Advanced proficiency in Workday Absences Management Previous experience in a progressive, complex organization with strong collaboration, project management & interpersonal skills Strong analysis, critical thinking, problem solving, and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive personnel information Comfortable creating and facilitating presentations to a broad range of audiences Nice to haves: Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) focus on benefits and/or Certified Professional Human Resources Professional (CPHR) Global benefits experience Previous experience supporting the following: Pension Administration (Defined Benefit Pension Plans and Defined Contribution Pension Plans), Employee Share Purchase Plan, Wellness Initiatives In the market for… Excitement - Explore emerging technology and innovation, as well as ventures and digital finance that shape the future of global markets!
