Junior Buyer

Junior Buyer – Hinckley – Up to £28,000

Chase & Holland are delighted to be partnered with a successful and very well-established Manufacturing and Engineering business based in Hinckley as they seek to recruit for a new Junior Buyer to join their team.

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, this exciting position will offer progression and opportunity within Purchasing and/or Project management. This is an ideal role for a Graduate or someone early on in their procurement career looking to secure a position that can develop them further. The business are reputable leaders within their field and are forecasting a continued period of growth over the next 5 years and beyond.

Operational Buyer Responsibilities:

• Updating Supplier information
• Maintaining the system and database
• Raising purchase orders for Direct and Indirect suppliers
• Maintaining order books
• Manage system messages
• Monitoring of stock levels ensuring on time delivery
• Maintaining a good knowledge of goods and services procured
• Support the purchasing team with project and administrations

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:30 and 7:30am – 12:30pm Friday (Flexible)

Required Skills & Experience:

• Engineering / Manufacturing experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Have strong attention to detail and be IT literate including Microsoft Excel
• Be able to work to deadlines
