Responsibilities Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration and operations of on-premises and Microsoft Azure Windows servers, both physical and virtual, as well as Active Directory domains. Handle Active Directory account management, including creating, maintaining, migrating, and removing AD user accounts. Also responsible for granting and revoking access rights using file permissions, program permissions, and data rights. Manage security groups and Group Policy Management. This includes creating, removing, and managing memberships in security groups to grant access to network resources. Also responsible for creating, modifying, assigning, and removing Group Policy objects within the Active Directory structure. Administer DNS and DHCP. Support the day-to-day operations of multiple Active Directory Environments, including ensuring proper functioning of systems, health of multiple forests, analyzing logs, and troubleshooting problems as they arise. Automate repetitive tasks and generate reports using PowerShell and other scripting languages. Manage replication, including all tasks related to the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of the replication topology. Proactively monitor equipment and systems, promptly communicate and report issues, resolve customer problems, and provide engineering solutions to ensure successful resolution of system issues. Perform proactive monitoring of data center, enterprise, domain, and network systems to optimize performance and identify potential or actual system failures. Take preventive or remedial actions accordingly. Maintain records of system performance data for performance metrics purposes. Create, manage, and execute PowerShell scripts for generating reports, automating tasks, and performing updates. Patch and update Microsoft Windows servers. Deploy and configure MS servers, both physical and virtual machines running on VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Azure technologies. Also responsible for server hardening configurations. Manage and monitor server backups. Resolve service desk tickets related to server infrastructure. Maintain up-to-date documentation records. Requirements Minimum 3+ years of specialized experience Windows Server and Active Directory administration; Comprehensive background in managing Windows server and workstation-based operating systems (including Windows 2003-2022). Experience with LDAP and SAML Applying and deploying security controls to the Microsoft Windows Servers; Proficiency in using Microsoft administration tools, including third-party tools; Experience in VMware infrastructure management Experience in Veeam Backup management Ability to troubleshoot directory replication, DNS, Group Policy Management, and Distributed File Systems (DFS) Experience in implementing and managing enterprise-level Active Directory domains and forests across multiple physical locations Experience working with software and/or hardware systems, with a specific concentration in one or more areas: Active Directory for 2008/2012/2016 Server Domains, Group Policy, Support MS Windows Server versions 2008/2012 R2, DNS, WINS, DHCP, VB Scripts, and Power Shell. Experience with LDAP-based identity management solutions Experience with certificate services and certification authority General knowledge of VMware vSphere/MS Hyper-V virtual networks and Azure networking Experience with GxP pharmaceutical regulation processes Experience with deploying and managing HPE servers Experience with merger/acquisition/migration projects is highly advantageous Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent writing and verbal skills, including interviews and presentations; Professional telephone and in-person customer service skills Proactive approach and strong willingness to learn new technologies.
