Education:

1. College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience:

1. 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks:

1. Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
2. Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
3. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms
4. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
5. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
6. Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
7. Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
8. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
