Job Advert: SEN Learning Mentor Location: Swadlincote Position: SEN Learning Mentor Start Date: September 2024 School Level: Primary School About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Mentor to join our vibrant primary school team in Swadlincote starting in September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational and personal development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN. Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system. Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students' social and emotional growth. Assist in classroom management and the delivery of lessons, ensuring that all students can access the curriculum. Support students in developing essential life skills and promoting independence.Requirements: Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting. A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children of varying abilities. Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
