The role We are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit a Place Area Lead on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of Local Place Plans that support the delivery of our Thriving Community strategy and targets as well as meeting our mission and aspiration to lead in building thriving and empowered communities.  This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers. What you'll achieve Lead on planning, coordinating and overseeing delivery of local activity within a defined geographical area and lead on the development and implementation of strategic local plans Responsible for local external stakeholder mapping and developing and managing strategic partnerships Manage the day to day operations of the community hubs including development of services and customer engagement Develop and manage local employee, customer and partner volunteering opportunities, leading on local communications, marketing and customer engagement Lead on local Place Quality Assessments within the area, working alongside colleagues on a taskforce approach What you'll bring Essential skills Experience of leading the work of the team Strong ability to relationship build across geographies with a wide variety of stakeholders Experience of design, commissioning and implementation of local service delivery based on identified needs Experience of successful budget and contract management Ability to work outside of standard hours when required, willing and able to travel when required  Why Orbit?
