Do you want to grow with a dynamic team? Aspion are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Setter to join a growing team in one of the Noth Wests leading manufacturing companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and running machines that coil steel strips, which is a critical first step in their production line. This role is vital for ensuring that the production line is supplied with high-quality coils. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup: Set up and operate machines to coil steel strips, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the specified 1mm tolerance. Operation Monitoring: Regularly monitor machine performance and quality of output, making adjustments as needed to maintain standards. In-House Training: Engage in a comprehensive training programme, typically lasting 3 months, to gain full proficiency in machine operation and maintenance. Quality Control: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure products meet quality standards. Process Improvement: Proactively contribute ideas to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Autonomous Working: Demonstrate competence and experience to work independently when required. Flexibility: Exhibit flexibility with working hours, including adjusting break times to support continuous production. Inventory Management: Monitor, log, and manage the raw materials used, ensuring accurate stock levels. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment. Skills and Qualifications: Practical Hand Skills: Proficient in using tools such as spanners, Allen keys, and rulers. Factory Experience: Previous experience working in a factory setting is essential. Machine Setting Experience: Proven experience in machine setting, particularly with tight tolerance specifications. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, capable of working within a 1mm tolerance specification. Innovation: A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. Independence: Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks without constant supervision. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt working hours as necessary to meet production needs. Inventory Skills: Competence in managing stock and logging raw material usage. FLT Licence: A Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is desirable but not essential.
