Lead a team: Manage Project Managers, a Project Engineer, and a Project Support Officer. Oversee project delivery: Initiate, plan, and deliver multiple capital works projects in alignment with the Shire's vision and Strategic Community Plan. Develop and mentor staff: Foster growth and achieve timely, cost-effective outcomes while pursuing continuous improvement in contract administration and project management. Ensure compliance: Adhere to relevant statutory obligations, Shire policies, and procedures. Prepare documentation: Administer project briefs, tender documents, and expressions of interest briefs. Analyse and mitigate risks: Evaluate project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies within the project management framework. Liaise with stakeholders: Engage with consultants, contractors, private organizations, community groups, and government agencies on operational matters. Ensure adherence to standards: Guarantee that all designs, projects, and works comply with Shire standards and relevant industry regulations. Skills and experience:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in team management. Project Management Experience: Significant experience managing projects, contractors, consultants, and service providers. Expertise: Proven expertise in contract documentation, management, quality assurance, and competitive tendering. Financial and Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and skills in financial budgeting, legal aspects, and technical requirements related to major project development and management. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Advanced skills in problem-solving, negotiation, dispute resolution, verbal and written communication, and report writing. Organizational Skills: Highly developed organizational and time management abilities. Certification: Construction Induction Training Card (White/Blue Card). HOW TO APPLY
