Housing Options Officer

Housing Options Officer Responsibilities: * To carry out homelessness assessment in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. * To devise robust personalised housing plans. * To make decisions and issue S184 letters and also make s198 referrals this includes making non-priority decisions, intentionally homeless decisions and acceptances. * To carry out prevention and relief duties and issue notification letters. * To provide an effective, professional service including offering a full range of advice on housing options in the private and public sector and ensure comprehensive homelessness prevention service. Experience/Qualifications: * Up to date knowledge of the HRA 2017 * Minimum 3 years experience in similar role * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload
