Job Title: MPS Planner

Role Summary:
Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive MPS Planner to join their planning team. Reporting to the MPS Planning Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production operations, ensuring goods are manufactured on time and within budget for distribution. You will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and releasing production orders, collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. This role is key to improving production flow, addressing capacity constraints, and minimizing disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Release expedited production orders manually and adjust volumes outside the automated ERP process.
* Monitor and track production progress, addressing any delays and adjusting priorities where necessary.
* Plan and level capacity while optimizing production workflow for one or multiple products.
* Collaborate with production teams to assess manpower, equipment, and raw material needs.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to ensure operational efficiency.
* Address and resolve production issues to minimize disruptions.
* Enter sales orders into the ERP system and generate daily manufacturing orders.
* Support production in identifying bottlenecks, eliminating arrears, and improving overall performance.
Education & Experience:
* Proven experience in planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling processes.
* Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system; ability to retrieve and analyse data.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in SAP or experience with ERP systems (knowledge transfer to SAP underway).
* Ability to thrive in an engineering/production environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Salary up to £30000
