Our Clinical Phones Operator is an essential part of our team in providing dermatology patient care. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, team player, and patient focused. Dermatology experience is strongly preferred, however, willing to train the right candidate! Responsible for scheduling all surgical appointments, communicating with patients regarding medication, lab results, and tissue diagnosis, maintaining medical supply inventory, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Handle all duties in a timely manner
- Supply ordering & inventory
- Obtain and update the complete patient history and chief complaint
- Be capable of multi-tasking.
- Be a mature, pleasant adult, conservative and tasteful in appearance, able to relate to the patient base
- Determine urgency of a patient's call and handle in accordance with office policy.
- Be capable of answering general questions regarding the practice, physicians, procedures, insurance, and cost in accordance with office policy
- Be knowledgeable about services and products available at our facility.
- Schedule appointments for the practice
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Customer Service Preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience in a dermatology office
- Ability to work well with providers to anticipate and support their needs
- Build rapport other staff members
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
