Group Assistant Accountant

CMA are currently working with a globally know organisation who operate within a really exciting sector. Based in Hedge End, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their established and successful team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who has some accounting experience, in the early stages of their finance career and looking for a role that will allow for development and progression.     What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?  Responsible for ensuring ledger integrity and implementing controls Prepare key information required for monthly management account packs   Reconciliation of balance sheets   Reconciliation of bank accounts   Assist with year-end audit queries    Responsible for reconciling payments on a daily basis and resolving discrepancies   Providing accurate and timely information to HODs   Assisting sales ledger and purchase ledger, if required   Ensuring VAT is correctly posted and assisting with VAT returns    Manage month end activities   Provide ad hoc support to Head of Finance as required     Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:  Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification  A good understanding of basic accounting principles  Bookkeeping or previous accounting experience  Exceptional communication skills  Additional benefits and information for the role of Assistant Accountant  Complimentary tickets to specified events  Study support  Discounted retail merchandise  Weekly running club  Discounted hotel rooms, spa treatments and products  CMA Recruitment Group is acting as a recruitment business in relation to this role.
