For this purpose, we are looking for our location: Toronto (Mississauga), Canada.

POSITION NAME: Manager Quality Assurance

YOUR TASKS:

  • Responsible for the quality and regulatory compliance of all work performed by Wright International. ·
  • Establish and control the Quality Audit program in accordance with the MPM.
  • Conduct external and internal audits.
  • Ensure that the maintenance and servicing of aeronautical products follow the policies and procedures in the MPM and Transport Canada Aviation Regulations.
  • Provide training recommendations to the PRM to ensure all maintenance personnel acquire the necessary training on aeronautical products, company, Transport Canada and customer, policies, requirements, and regulations.
  • Review the MPM to ensure that it reflects current regulatory authority requirements and customer specifications.
  • Issue and approve all Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) privileges in accordance with this manual under the authority of the Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) and maintain the qualified personnel listing.
  • Establish a program to maintain sufficient records in accordance with the requirements of the MPM.
  • Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee.
  • Ensure all Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) are completed.
  • Ensure that health and safety practices and procedures established in the Safety Management System (SMS) are complied with and maintained.
  • Perform any other duties or assignments within his/her capabilities and related areas that the PRM may request.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • At least 5 years in a Quality Assurance Manager role required.
  • AME license (preferred) aviation experience required.
  • In depth knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations, valuable experience of FAA, EASA regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills required for a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple time sensitive initiatives simultaneously.
  • Pro-active, result-oriented and strive for continued improvement. · Experience writing maintenance policy manuals and quality control procedure manuals.
  • Excellent written and fluent verbal communication skills · excellent planning and organizational skills · Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to company needs
  • YYZ RAIC and airside vehicle operators permit (AVOP) YYZ is a plus
  • Candidates must hold the right to live and work in Canada prior to applying for this role.
