Goods Movement Assistant Job Type: Full-time Working hours: Minimum 36 per week with flexitime; early finish on Friday What our client offers: £21,500.00 - £24,000.00 pa salary + bonuses 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays Workplace pension Key Responsibilities: Stock Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts. Record and report discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Maintain organised and up-to-date stock records in the inventory management system. Order Packaging: Prepare and package customer orders accurately and efficiently according to company standards. Ensure that all packaged goods are properly labelled and include necessary documentation. Inspect packaging materials and finished packages for quality and completeness. Operational Support: Assist in receiving and unloading incoming shipments. Verify and record incoming stock, ensuring accuracy and quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and packaging areas. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary). Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control, or goods movement role is preferred. Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages and stand for extended periods. Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office
