CAD Manager

Our clients, based close to Havant, have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Manager to join their growing team. The CAD Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the creation of construction issue drawings, managing projects throughout their drawing phase, interacting with customers through meetings and portals, and overseeing the Building Information Modelling (BIM) team. This will ensure the seamless integration of the product into the construction projects, maintain strong communication with the clients through relevant communication methods, and lead the BIM team to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions. Duties & responsibilities: Construction Issue Drawings: * Lead and support in the development of detailed construction issue drawings for product installations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to project requirements. * Coordinate with project stakeholders to gather relevant information and incorporate feedback into drawings. Project Management: * Manage projects from inception to completion, overseeing all CAD and BIM related activities and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. * Develop project plans, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure milestones are met. Customer Interaction: * Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, interacting with them through relevant communication methods to understand their needs, address inquiries, and provide updates on status. * Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships. BIM and CAD Team Management: * Lead and mentor the BIM and CAD teams, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution projects. * Collaborate with team members to develop models and drawings to integrate the product into construction projects. Quality Assurance: * Implement quality control measures to review and validate construction issue drawings and BIM models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards. Continuous Improvement: * Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to CAD, BIM, and construction issue drawings. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Skills & Experience: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, or related field. * Demonstrated experience in CAD management, with a focus on construction issue drawings in the Building industry * Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools, with advanced skills in 2D and 3D modeling. * Strong understanding of building regulations and construction industry Benefits: 24 days holiday + bank holidays Benefits / discounts Company social events Eyecare vouchers Cycle to work scheme
