Manufacturing Supervisor

2020 Recruitment are working with a worldwide manufacturer who are looking to add an experience Manufacturing Supervisor to their Dunfermline team. It is essential that you have previous experience of a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment to be considered for this role. The Role As the Manufacturing Supervisor you will be responsible for the ongoing development, operation and leadership of the manufacturing team in the UK, working in a complex environment and delivering on corporate goals and objectives. Duties & Responsibilities As the Manufacturing Supervisor your duties and responsibilities will include the following: * Lead, facilitate, stand in for the Manufacturing Manager, and coordinate the production team to ensure manufacture of quality products and delivery of finished goods in a timely and cost-effective manner. * Lead, motivate, and develop staff, maximising their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues and as a team, to build and maintain a high-performance atmosphere through goals and objective setting. * Work with peers to implement standard global processes and best practices that consistently deliver products to the highest standards. * Ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved, along with monthly production schedule targets. * Optimise efficiency on an ongoing basis through utilisation of lean techniques and methodologies. * Ensure compliance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures within the manufacturing environment. * Create, implement, and manage production performance metrics. * Work with the engineering team to ensure that production issues are being addressed and satisfactorily resolved. * Ensure conformance of direct reports to released product-specific processes in DMRs and business processes.
