Maintenance Engineer Birmingham £40,000 - £50,000 About the client Contek are assisting their client in their search for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis. My client are worldwide leaders in the R+D and Production of specialist metals for industries including Aerospace, Commercial Aerospace, Industrial and Defence sectors. Their facility consists of various production processes from Forging, Melting, Machining, Fabrication and Testing/Lab analysis. As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will include: * Routine maintenance support across the plant * Provide preventative, corrective and reactive work across all plant equipment and facilities * Support across various equipment including arc melting furnaces, forging, preheating furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems * Working in a heavy industrial environment The ideal candidates for this Maintenance Engineer position will: * Have qualified experience in metals or heavy industrial environments * Minimum qualification at ONC or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering * Experienced in hydraulic / pneumatic systems * Desirable experience with fitting, machining and welding As a Maintenance Engineer you will work: * 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off * 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am * £40,000 - £50,000 * 8% Pension * 187.5 hours holiday
