Job Title: 1:1 LAC Tutor Location: Doncaster Salary: £25 - £30 per hour (Depending on experience) Start: ASAP  Are you passionate about providing personalised support to children in care? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated 1:1 LAC (Looked After Child) Tutor in Doncaster to offer academic and emotional support to looked-after children (LAC), helping them reach their full potential. As a 1:1 LAC Tutor, you will work closely with children in care, tailoring learning plans to meet their individual educational and emotional needs. Your role will involve providing targeted instruction in core subjects and offering guidance to help build confidence and skills. Responsibilities of the 1:1 LAC Tutor: Provide 1:1 tutoring for Looked After Children, meeting their unique learning needs. Create fun and personalised lessons based on the child's education plan. Monitor and report the child’s progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary. Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and any concerns. Build a supportive and caring environment to help the child grow academically and personally. Requirements of the 1:1 LAC Tutor: QTS or experience in teaching/tutoring. Experience working with Looked After Children or young people. Understand the challenges faced by these children and how to help them. Good knowledge of the national curriculum and tutoring strategies. Be patient, caring, and strong to support and inspire children in care.
