If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about technology, keep reading! I am seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the team. As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you'll craft robust electronics solutions meeting customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Provide expertise of circuit design, components, and PCB technology. Working in technology areas of EMC, Power Management, Servo Control, processor interfacing and communications. Provide expertise in the realms of power and signal transmission over wired medium with ability to define and objectively review an overall architecture, including power management, system wiring and knowledge of production processes. Hold a pivotal role within a project and set the standards of good engineering practice, leading by example, and often be seen as an expert in their given field. Review and analyse processes and practices within the department, driving and encouraging innovation across the board. Regularly communicate with senior management, customers and other key stakeholders maintaining a focus on tactical and some strategic oversight of projects, technology, and team development. Take a lead role in developing or enhancing technology within the business, providing subject matter expertise for technology areas and apply these to R&D development activities or projects. Technical leadership of multi-disciplined projects, with ability to foster a culture a systematic approach while providing our customers with solutions. Provide key insights into resource planning of engineers working under them. Line management role to support other engineers as part of a smaller sub team overseeing training and development needs. What We're Looking for From You: Education and Experience: Degree: Accredited by the IET in a related discipline. Experience: Typically 6 years relevant experience. Chartership: Chartered Engineer or working towards it.Technical Skills: Electrical/Electronics Design: Strong theoretical and practical understanding. Analysis: Proficient in circuit emulation, performance, and power budgets. Fault Finding: Skilled in investigating and resolving PCB/system level issues.Project Management: Leadership: Proven experience in leading or supervising projects and teams. Lifecycle Awareness: Knowledgeable about the full project lifecycle.Specialized Expertise: Embedded Software: Experience with ARM/KEIL. EMC Standards: Military standards compliance and issue resolution. Motors/Drives: Ability to calculate motor performance. Control Systems: Understanding of control systems analysis and performance.Tools and Methods: Simulation Tools: Python, Matlab, Simulink, LT-Spice, Simetrix. Management Tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS Project. PCB Design: Altium, Cadence OrCAD. Resilience Techniques: Familiar with FMEA. Environmental Design: Experience with harsh military environments and lightning effects. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, project management skills, and specialized knowledge in challenging engineering environments.Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to gain UK government security clearance.
