I'm currently looking for a skilled and reliable Project Coordinator to join a real estate development company specializing in multi-family residential projects in Vancouver. Under the supervision of the Director of Construction and Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will support various construction activities from start to finish. This role is ideal for a young professional in construction who seeks career growth within a dynamic and stimulating environment.

  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and safe completion within budget and schedule through effective collaboration and communication.
  • Manage and supervise compliance with health and safety regulations on-site to meet or exceed Worksafe BC requirements.
  • Provide leadership to internal and external construction teams to achieve project targets.
  • Accountable for managing construction schedules to meet project milestones and completion dates.
  • Pre-construction responsibilities include coordinating consultant statuses, managing preconstruction budgets, and reviewing major construction scopes.
  • Assist in early procurement and budgeting with subtrades, manage subtrade procurement process, and ensure proper execution of contracts.
  • Maintain financial aspects, track project performance metrics, and support site operations.
  • Conduct project meetings to monitor goals and resolve issues collaboratively.
  • Facilitate timely turnover and occupancy requirements for occupancy permits.
  • Assist in enabling works scopes and project team management before construction begins.
  • Participate in advanced construction tools and virtual construction to maintain Construction and Design certainty.
  • 2-5+ years of project experience in residential construction involving wood frame and concrete.
  • Completed post-secondary education and training in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success in managing construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience and expertise in key aspects of major construction projects, including excavation, structural work (concrete and wood frame), envelope and air tightness testing, firestop inspections, and occupancy and life safety inspections for achieving Occupancy Permits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about building and maintaining relationships.
  • Proficient in using estimation software and enthusiastic about incorporating innovative practices.
