DESCRIPTIONCentenary University, located in Hackettstown NJ approximately 50 miles west of NYC, is seeking an Assistant Technical Director to start immediately. Primary responsibility will be sound design and sound supervision. The individual is responsible for supervising students working on productions, including backstage and in the shop. They will also be the contact for events that are scheduled in the Sitnik or Black Box, working to fulfill technical requirements not limited to just sound and lighting while being available to manage and run those events, including any campus-wide event or theatre rental. The position is also responsible for assisting with setup for other facility requests, including but not limited to sound or lights for faculty members, student organizations, or staff.Co-ordinate with TD as well as other Centenary offices for any and all technical needs regarding public events.Run all technical events, sound, lighting, PowerPoints, etc. as needed from presentations in Lackland or designated spaces.Work with outside events and/or renters who are using the facility to determine their needs.Supervise students working in the shop or onstage.Work with all CU Theatre students to help facilitate their productions.DURATIONOct 6, 2024 -SALARY$43,000.00 – $44,000.00 per yearAPPLY BY EMAILb9f2d829-f759-4445-9b12-6e05f82838c5… * NOTE: Do not copy/paste the above email address as it is encoded with SPAM protection.
