The Opportunity: 4 month position starting Fall 2024
There is potential to extend the term at a later date. The ideal candidate will:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in development of optical processes for manufacturing high-performance optical systems. Support continuous improvement of test hardware and automation software in collaboration with NPI team and lab technicians. Support instrumentation and process automation activities. Contribute towards day-to-day lab activities related to optical manufacturing and process development. Work on fault isolation and troubleshooting tools. Support failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation.

- Strong communications skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues

Required Experience
Working towards BS or MS degree in Optical/Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree. Basic electronics / PCBA experience. Experience with optical and electrical test instruments.
Assets
Prior experience with optical systems, optical fibers devices. Software experience with Matlab/Python/C/C++/C#. Prior experience of working with discrete coherent transmitter, receiver, pluggable module, etc. RF expertise.
