Operations Manager

Job Title: Operations Manager Location: Norwich, with occasional travel to site (Use of company pool car for site visits) Salary: £48,000 - £60,000 per annum Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager with a proven background in the high voltage energy sector. Based in Norwich, with occasional travel to various project sites, you will oversee operational activities, ensuring efficient and timely project delivery while upholding the highest safety standards. You will also be responsible for leading the operational team to deliver outstanding results. Role Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and optimise operational processes and projects within the high voltage energy sector Ensure the successful delivery of high voltage projects on time and within budget Oversee procurement and supplier relationships specific to high voltage equipment and materials Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the high voltage energy industry Manage and report on operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and customer service Manage project budgets, forecasting operational expenses, and ensuring cost control Mentor and manage the Operations Assistant, ensuring team cohesion and high engagement Maintain strong communication with senior management and external stakeholders Company Overview: An electrical engineering company dedicated to revolutionising the power system industry and delivering essential energy resources for a more sustainable future. Required Skills: Proven experience in operations management within the high voltage energy sector Strong leadership and team management capabilities Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage complex high voltage projects and multiple tasks simultaneously Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to high voltage energy Proficiency in project management tools and software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desired Skills: Experience in renewable energy or sustainable energy sectors Expertise in high voltage equipment procurement and supplier management Experience with large-scale electrical infrastructure projects Experience: Minimum of 3 years of operations management experience in the high voltage energy sector Demonstrated success in managing high voltage projects and leading operational teams Working Location: Norwich, with occasional travel to project sites (Use of company pool car for site visits)
