YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the General Superintendent, you will be part of the Process Plant Department. The position oversees and is responsible for the Process Plant department, including maintenance, operations, metallurgy, refinery and assay lab and works in close collaboration with its members, as well as members of the other departments. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Manage the process plant teams, directing workflow and planning for the different workforce needs while ensuring proper levels of efficiency and productivity;
- Plan, propose, recommend and follow-up budgets (yearly and life of mine) for the process plant department;
- Analyses, approves and implements the KPI’s to be applied in the department;
- Manages production and operations activities to ensure adequate supply of raw material intended for processes;
- Reviews, approves, and recommends actions in regard to staffing, compensation, development and training of all supervisory and operating personnel;
- Monitors environmental control systems to ensure compliance with government regulations;
- Identifies, administers and/or recommends necessary training tools for plant management and personnel;
- Ensures that reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner;
- Recommends procedures and methods to improve employee safety.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline;
- 5-10 years of experience in managing a large and complex mining process plant;
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of efficient mining practices, procedures and regulations;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 4 days of work followed by 3 days of rest, or 7 days of work followed by 7 days of rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
