As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project. The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems,network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, and much more. ObjectiveIn close collaboration with the Head of the Signaling activities for this project, you will:Manage and organise the Signaling Engineering Team according to business and Project needs in-line with central engineering guidelinesExecute Signaling engineering project according QCD commitmentsManage workforce according workload (firm projects, forecast projects, tender) and ensure Best Cost Country roadmapDrive co-engineering specially with process engineering and co-development with supplier via ProcurementPush improvement programs based on central recommendations (methodologies/tools and APSYS engineering) and local initiatives Develop on-site engineering staff including succession plan and competency matrix deployment Apply common processes, methods and tools and capture Return of Experience for continuous improvement Supervise products, key technical decisions and safety critical issues and capitalise Return of Experience Monitor project to cost programs in engineering Manage cost center, budget preparation and monitoring Structural Overheads including recovery during the yearSupport and promote innovations ResponsibilitiesManagement and organization of engineering departmentManage interfaces with other stakeholders on-site for co-engineering specially with process engineering and co-development with sourcing/supplierContribute to site strategyEngineering improvement on projects including cooperation and change managementAppoint Tender/Project Engineering teamsMonitor site engineering activity and inform Project Director and Global Engineering about major events Communication to engineering team Performance measurementsEngineering tender commitment and project engineering QCDManagement of site engineering workload and workforce Ethics and ComplianceEHS in engineering People and resource management  Respect of engineering processes, tools and methodsKPI targets from Site Engineering Director dashboardSupervision of key technical decisions and safety critical issuesMonitoring of engineering actions in project to cost programsEngineering cost centre Supporting and promoting innovationsPeople management cycle management on-time and quality of data with associated training and development plans to reach target competence level Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or scientific subjectsP.
