Job Summary Reporting to the Data Product Owner, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst, Data and Insights to join our Data and Analytics team. The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision making and leading cross functional analytical projects. The Senior Analyst will act as a business partner to select line(s) of business of the (“BPS”) organization to ensure teams have advanced analytics and insights that (i) augment their experience and intuition to make sound business decisions and (ii) unlock additional value for both McKesson and its biopharma or provider customers. You will have the opportunity to facilitate the design and development of analytical products with a strong focus on insights generation. You will be responsible for end-to-end development and management of internal and external facing dashboards and reports. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for uncovering patterns, trends, and opportunities within our data to provide actionable insights that drive business growth. You will create and leverage complex models and dashboards from internal and external data sources, in collaboration with our data & analytics (“D&A”) team, to drive an impactful dialogue on hindsight, insight, and foresight. You will also be asked to execute other related analytics activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization techniques. Insights Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain advanced analytical data products, models and algorithms that extract insights from complex datasets and support business needs Collaborate closely with business stakeholders (internal and external) to understand and document their analytical requirements and translate them into actionable insights that drive business value. In collaboration with the Data Product Owner, lead the full lifecycle of data analytics and reporting related to assigned ‘customer groups’ Conduct rigorous statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and outliers, and translate them into actionable recommendations Identify opportunities for AI/ML use cases and work in collaboration with enterprise advanced analytics team to deliver solutions Utilize advanced data manipulation techniques to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets effectively Create visually compelling and informative data visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to communicate insights and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Act as the dedicated insight partner and subject matter expertise supporting senior management and leadership teams Showcases and positions the product during RFPs and other business development activities including developing demo-versions of the products Independently lead projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results Mentor a team of analysts, providing guidance, support and expertise in data analysis and insights generation Streamlines processes and trains team members to augment their capacity to (1) leverage analytical tools, (2) share best practices in analytics, (3) strengthen communications between complementary or overlapping projects Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for data products General Responsibilities Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of data analysis Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values and of data-driven decision-making Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in analytics and insights generation, and contribute to the development and enhancement of analytical methodologies Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership in leveraging data and analytics to drive business growth and achieve organizational goals Develops and maintains internal and external networks to support knowledge gathering and sustainable sharing of best practices in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics across McKesson Canada Recommends creation and adoption of new tools for advanced analytics in line with customer and business needs Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred 7+ years’ experience and recognized expertise in data analysis, preferably with a focus on customer-facing analytics and insights generation Key Competencies Management consulting experience preferred. Knowledge of Canadian biopharma landscape, Patient Support Programs, Specialty pharmacies, infusion clinics, technology solutions for physicians, and general healthcare industry is a definite asset Experienced in conducting activities with broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in D&A with an emphasis on data storytelling, insights and visualizations Advanced knowledge of the MS Office products (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word) and hands-on experience with Power BI Experience with building customer facing predictive modelling and advanced statistical analysis preferred Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights Strong proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Python, R, or SAS Able to work with large datasets, create visualization tools to see the “big picture” Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau Capable of simplifying unusually complex problems involving multiple dependencies Works under limited direction to determine and develop approach to solutions Capable of proactively learning new concepts and software quickly We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
