Job Summary:
You are an HSE Lead with high voltage powerline construction project safety knowledge and experience. You will be based both in the office and at project sites across Western Canada. You’re a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed. You will develop, implement, and maintain Health, and Safety systems, practices, and procedures and will be fully versed in ISO standards.

Essential Responsibilities:
Health and Safety Management System development and implementation for various powerline construction projects in Western Canada.
Stay up to date with current powerline construction industry safety standards and best practices.
Recommend Senior management on HS&E programs and tactics to enhance the HS&E culture.
Works with the project team on the development/implementation of project specific safety plans, job hazard assessments and safe work procedures
Support site HS&E and Operations people to understand client HS&E needs to develop PSSP (aligned with Ledcor’s HS&E program) to meet client requirements.
Participate and support project staff and contractors in conducting effective incident investigations that identify underlying causes and effective corrective measures.
Review incident reports, monthly statistics, inspection reports and can identify undesirable trends and provide appropriate recommendations.
Resolve day-to-day or routine issues through immediate actions or short-term planning within defined processes.
Represent Ledcor at client meetings on site level interfaces.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience working in the field as a safety professional in the powerline construction market.
Degree in OH&S or related discipline preferred.
CRSP, CSP or other HS&E designation.
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to perform the HS&E work being supervised and fill in for cross shift or HS&E people shortages.
