Job Title: Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker to join our team at Randstad Student Support. As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide high-quality learning support and academic guidance to students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) at the University of St. Andrews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized learning plans tailored to students' needs and encourage independence.
• Support students to develop independence, build on strengths and learning strategies, and create strategies around organization and time management.
• Assist students in developing research skills, widening knowledge by using various sources, and distinguishing appropriate sources and how to correctly use references.
• Help students build comprehension skills within reading and writing.

Requirements:

• Membership with one of the relevant professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).
• Experience working with clients with specific learning difficulties.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload of students.
